Extending your trial
The trial in one paragraph
The trial is 14 days with no card, at Pro capacity, on ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Grok. It starts when you confirm your email (or sign in with Google), not when you fill in the form. You can extend it twice: once for free, once by adding a card. Nothing is charged at any point until you pick a plan. The pricing article has the capacity numbers.
From day 12: the countdown chip
From day 12 a countdown chip appears in the app showing how many days are left. It carries the extension offer that is open to you:
- Extend by 7 days (once). Click it and the trial runs 7 days longer. It is free, needs no card, and can be used once per trial. The chip then shows the new end date.
- Add a card for 14 more days. Once the 7-day extension has been used, the chip offers this instead. Add a payment method under Settings → Billing and the trial runs 14 days longer at the same capacity. Adding the card does not start a subscription: you are charged only when you choose a plan.
You can take the card extension without taking the free one first, and a card added earlier in the trial counts the same way.

When the trial ends
The account becomes read-only. Every score, trend, answer, competitor and improvement task stays where it was; nothing is deleted.
The Dashboard shows a trial-ended card with one line that sums up the trial: "Since your first check on {date}: N questions started naming you, M stopped." The numbers come from your tracked questions, so they are the plain result of the trial rather than a sales pitch. Under it are the extension offers you have not used yet (the free 7 days, or the card for 14 days) and the plans. For the first week after the trial ends, both stay next to the plans.
The free monthly check
Once a month, for free, AEOTrack re-checks three of your tracked questions across the five engines, updates the Dashboard and emails you what changed. The Dashboard shows the date of the next free check. Everything else stops: the weekly schedules are kept but switched off, and they resume from where they stopped when you pick a plan. The win-back emails at 30, 60 and 90 days report the free check's result separately from your trial numbers.
Picking a plan later
Choose a plan under Settings → Billing at any time. Checks resume on the next schedule. If you track more websites or questions than the plan covers, the extra ones stay visible but are not re-checked until you raise the limit.
Frequently asked questions
Is the 7-day extension really free? Yes. No card, no charge, one click. It can be used once per trial.
Will adding a card charge me? No. A card extends the trial by 14 days and is not charged until you pick a plan. If you never pick one, the account becomes read-only when the extended trial ends and the card is not charged.
Can I use both extensions? Yes: 14 days, plus 7, plus 14.
I subscribed during the trial and cancelled. What happens? The paid period runs to its end. If it ends before the trial would have, the account returns to its remaining trial days on the normal terms.
Someone else already trialled my website. Your workspace gets a 7-day trial instead of 14, and the owner of the earlier workspace is emailed once so they can invite you. The same two extensions apply.
