How can AEOTrack help you?

What is AEOTrack and how does it work?

Welcome to AEOTrack

AEOTrack shows you whether AI assistants name your business when your buyers ask them who to use: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Grok, with their live web search on. When they name a competitor instead, it shows you which one, the answer they wrote, and the pages they read to write it. Your first answers arrive about 7 minutes after you add your website (the median for new accounts).

Why this matters

Search behavior is shifting. Instead of typing keywords into Google and clicking links, people increasingly ask AI assistants full questions directly and act on whatever answer comes back, often without visiting a website at all. The answer names a few businesses and cites a few pages. If your brand isn't in it, you're invisible at the exact moment someone is deciding what to buy or use.

AEOTrack tracks two things: the questions buyers ask (your Questions score) and the broader topics the engines write about (your Topics score). The industry names for the two are AEO and GEO; Core concepts explains both.

How AEOTrack Works (Core Modules)

AEOTrack is organized the way the sidebar is — track first, understand why, then fix:

1. Tracking & Monitoring

  • Questions — Every question and topic you track, checked across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, and Grok on a weekly schedule on paid plans (daily while you use the trial), with per-question detail: overview, competitor ranking, the engines' full answers, citations, and opportunities.
  • Responses — Every answer the engines gave, readable in full, including which competitor was recommended instead of you.
  • Sources — Which pages the engines cite (yours and everyone else's), and where the gaps are.
  • Share of voice & Benchmarks — How your mentions stack up against named competitors, today and over time.
  • SERP Monitor — Your traditional Google ranking for the keywords you care about.

2. Your Site

  • Crawlability & AI crawler setup — Whether GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and friends can read your site, and the robots.txt setup to fix it.
  • Search Console & Analytics — Your real Google impressions, clicks, and traffic next to your AI visibility. With Search Console connected, AEOTrack also suggests tracked questions from what your buyers actually searched instead of guesses.

3. Improve

  • The off-site plan — The first section of the Action plan: the sites the engines read when they name your competitors (review sites, list articles, Reddit, YouTube, Wikipedia, press, LinkedIn), ranked by how often they were read, and how to get onto them. This is where most new visibility comes from; see Get named: work the off-site plan.
  • Action plan — A fix list generated from your real results, ordered by how often each issue shows up in your answers; completing a fix automatically pings IndexNow so Bing and Yandex recrawl the pages it touched.
  • Pages & Content — Every page scored for AI readiness, plus AI-written rewrite suggestions.
  • FAQ schema — FAQs drawn from your page text; approved ones can be shown on the page with their schema through the WordPress plugin or a GitHub pull request. They start as drafts you approve.
  • Question Explorer — The exact questions users ask AI in your niche.
  • Opportunity reports: a full-page report for one tracked question, generated once and downloadable as a PDF. See Opportunity reports.

4. Integrations

  • Pull data in: Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, WordPress (AI crawler visits, plus an [aeotrack_faq] shortcode for your approved FAQs).
  • Push results out: HubSpot & Salesforce (your AI visibility written onto the company record after every check — including which question you lose and to whom), IndexNow, Looker Studio, Slack, Teams, Zapier, webhooks.
  • Ship fixes: GitHub — AEOTrack opens a pull request with hygiene files: an llms.txt where your site serves it, AI search crawler rules appended to your robots.txt only if it blocks them, and paste-ready structured data (Pro and up). Your robots.txt is never replaced. These files help engines read your site but are not what gets you named.
