When your 7-day trial starts

The 7 days start with your first website

Your 7-day trial starts when you add your first website, not when you sign up or confirm your email. In setup, that is when you enter your website and click Scan my website. The trial ends seven days later, at the end of that day (UTC). Agency sign-ups work the same way.

So time between signing up and setting up costs you nothing: all 7 days have your website and its checks in them.

Before you add a website

  • No countdown. The app shows no days left, no day chip and no end date. It says Your 7-day trial starts when you add your website.
  • No trial emails. The welcome email says the same. The trial countdown, the end-of-trial email and the reminders after it are not sent to a workspace that has no website: its trial has not started.
  • Come back when you are ready. A workspace that signed up and never added a website gets its full 7 days whenever it adds one, even weeks later.

After you add it

  • The bar at the top of the app says how many days are left ("Your trial ends in 3 days."), and in the last three days a chip on the Dashboard shows the day ("Day 5 of 7 of your trial").
  • Removing the website and adding it again does not restart the trial.
  • Everything else is the trial as before: no card, the Starter plan's limits, 10 questions set up to start and up to 25, every question and topic checked daily while you use it, and no extension. See Pricing, plans and billing and When your trial ends.

One trial per website

The 7 days only start for a website that has not had a trial. If the first website you add already has an AEOTrack account in another workspace, no trial starts: the screen shows that account, and you can ask its owner to invite you. See One account per website, and inviting colleagues.

If you join a teammate's workspace, you use that workspace's trial or plan.
